Quinn Insurance represents the following Insurance Carriers:

In 1972, The Commerce Group, Inc. was founded in the town of Webster, Massachusetts by a group of independent agents and investors. This group of people recognized the need to provide the independent agents of Massachusetts with a badly needed marketplace to insure their customers private passenger automobiles. From its modest beginnings, the company has grown to become the largest provider of private passenger automobile insurance in Massachusetts, insuring nearly one out of every four registered automobiles in the state. In addition, The Commerce Group, Inc. is the second leading provider of Homeowners insurance and fourth leading writer of Commercial Automobile insurance in Massachusetts. Today, Commerce Group, Inc. has more than $1.8 billion in assets, insures more than 750,000 people throughout Massachusetts and employs over 1,500 people. The company is conservatively managed to protect its financial stability and solvency. The net premium written to statutory surplus, a measure of financial solvency of an insurer, is extremely strong, another indication that Commerce will be there when you need us most.
Pilgrim of Boston, Mass. provides complete business process outsourcing (BPO) services for private passenger and commercial automobile business. Founded in 1987 as Pilgrim Insurance Company, Pilgrim was the first company in Massachusetts to provide third-party management and operational services to property and casualty insurers and financial institutions.
Congress enacted the Urban Property Protection and Reinsurance Act of 1968, which authorized the establishment of FAIR Plans and made available federal riot reinsurance to the companies. The Massachusetts Legislature responded with the enactment of chapter 731 of the Acts of 1968 which formed the Massachusetts Property Insurance Underwriting Association under regulatory supervision of the Massachusetts Insurance Department. The Commissioner of Insurance further designated the entire commonwealth an "Urban Area," with the result that FAIR Plan coverage is available on a statewide basis.
Plymouth Rock Co-founder James M. Stone was twenty-six years old when he began his career as the Commissioner of Insurance of Massachusetts. He was subsequently appointed by President Jimmy Carter as Chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, where he worked until he founded Plymouth Rock Assurance Corporation. Plymouth Rock sold its first policy on January 1, 1984. Since then, the company has grown solidly into a multi-million dollar company with current direct written premium exceeding $126 million
